Sandokan, Nanni Balestrini’s Poetic Examination of Criminal Brutality

Nanni Balestrini’s novella Sandokan, in English translation from Melville House, tells the story of the rise of the Camorra crime syndicate in the small, poverty-stricken cities around Naples. On the other hand, he’s a native of the small town where Francesco Schiavone (aka Sandokan), Antonio Bardellino, and their henchman rule mercilessly, an eye-witness to the brutality and inhumanity of organized crime. The narrator is a sensitive young man who delineates clearly how the crime cartel was able to achieve such economic prosperity and power in the 70s, 80s, and 90s, detailing the various rackets the clan imposed upon the town, like stealing elections, peddling drugs, and manipulating the agribusiness that is the main source of…

Let Faces Save And Lock You Up.

fretboard chatter gossips with the street corner solar   storms changing directional jabs the facts with her good speed and winds in which inside    so fun to fly in a 4 second tornado fame and have the post audience and news waiting    any case is debate I dont even have to look at the transcribing debate I already saw the lost wieght around her cheek bones.

forcast under rview,
looks good for you
simple. gone.

move around my house
the space I had before…
this is the writing
that comes round 3 at the morn

The type that writes
likes this at this
hour has a sour
Not bitter
Not heavily hearted
“Bitter” miles behind,
“Sour” is off the map
of the normally sold

the old town thread amigo
everyone calm down, I never
realized was a flamigo

Fretboard chatter gossips with the street corner
solar system storms change direction by
high speed winds, hip hurricanes could bring

Fuck it, shall we be a post-audience band
of artists, designing our own crilce pits

I’m so far away
hello?        ha, dont do that when they hang up
but I know it hurts
it hurts, come here, I know

My sister is painting the Eiffell Tower green.

Oh, Save It, And Turn Your Gain Up So Much That An Engineer Would Go Mute

Warhol and I
came into this world ready
to fight, with fresh souls ready
to mystify, on the same day.
one did well, the other right now
reports the refusal to be held down
And will bring around noise and sound
unorganized collages of dialect written down
keep upon me a frown if you wish
But I have treats for thought, and will write
about things that were signs telling me
to keep going, that I was headed toward
the summit. And the top I will stand humbly
then descend to the world leaving many
fumbling and tumbling any who try to “have
a talk.” I don’t see the hunger in any set of eyes, I still don’t care, this bloke sponges up and wrings dry much great information for the artist to know, that professors will never know, and my knowledge, not selfish, picks up any creator, and keeps them hurrying to the show.
